We’re looking for…
…motivated people who want to work in metalworking. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the field or have years of experience – we would love to meet you. You might be a good fit if you have skills or interest in:
- Machine operation: operate and maintain machines to support production.
- CNC operation: shape and make metal parts with CNC machines.
- Milling/Cutting: cut and shape raw materials into high-quality metal pieces.
- Metal fitting: join metal parts with care and precision, metal assembly, and fabrication.
Are you a welder or want to be trained to become one?
If you are experienced in welding, we invite you to show us your skills in a practical test. If you are not yet experienced, no problem! HOBIJ offers a 200-hour welding course in our Never Stop Growing Academy in Veghel. When you finish the course and pass the exam, we guarantee a job with Sif.
To join the course, you must first pass a game based evaluation, be employed by HOBIJ, and sign a schooling agreement.
What you need to apply
We are looking for people who are ready to learn and grow with us. To apply, make sure you have:
- Good level of English – you need to do safety exams and training in English
- Driver’s license
- Motivation & willingness to learn
What to expect during the event
Introduction to HOBIJ & Sif.
Personal interview.
Talk one-on-one with our team about your skills and goals. This is a good time to share your experience and discuss which role is right for you.
Welding skills test.
If you’re interested in welding, you can show us your skills in a practical test involving welding V-shaped buttweld on a 25 mm carbon steel plate.
Coffee and conversations.
Enjoy a coffee break, get to know our team, and meet other candidates. You’ll get a feel for our company culture and can ask any questions.

Plate roller / bender

As a Plate Roller at Sif, you play a crucial role in rolling and welding 8 to 11-meter plates with thicknesses of 110 mm to form cylindrical shells. You contribute to the serial and custom production, where each workpiece has unique dimensions. Sif is one of the largest manufacturers of steel pipes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines.
