When you work in the Netherlands, you pay tax on your salary. The Dutch government uses tax money to pay for services as healthcare, education and roads. Everyone who works contributes to these services.
In the Netherlands, the more you earn, the more tax you usually pay. HOBIJ deducts the tax directly from your salary and pays it to the Dutch Tax Administration.
It may be a good idea to file a tax return every year. In some cases, you may receive money back.
