Introduction
At Berco in Schijndel, you will use an industrial sewing machine to make covers for truck beds. Do you have sewing experience, either professionally or as a hobby? Then we will teach you the different models and techniques.
What are you going to do?
As an industrial sewing machine operator, you will make covers for beds used in trucks. Every type of truck has a different bed model. This means you will work with different covers, materials and sewing processes. You will receive enough time and support to learn the different models and techniques. Your tasks include:
- Sewing different types of truck bed covers
- Working with an industrial sewing machine
- Checking the quality of the products
- Identifying and reporting mistakes and defects
- Finishing the covers neatly and accurately
What are the working hours?
You will work from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:20. Your evenings and weekends are free.
Who are you?
You have some sewing experience and enjoy working with a sewing machine. This experience may also come from a hobby. You do not need previous experience with an industrial sewing machine. You also:
- Enjoy working with your hands
- Have a positive attitude
- Work accurately and pay attention to details
- Feel comfortable working in a structured environment
- Are willing to learn new techniques
- Think ahead and are open to development
What do you get?
As an industrial sewing machine operator at Berco, you will earn a gross hourly wage of €16.26. Your salary will be paid every Friday. You will also receive:
- A full-time job Monday to Friday
- Fixed working hours from 07:30 to 16:20
- Good support during your training period
- Plenty of opportunities to learn new skills
- After six months your will start building up an 8.33% thirteenth-month allowance, paid in December

Where will you work?
Berco develops and produces sleeping and storage systems for trucks. At the location in Schijndel, you will work with around 25 direct colleagues. Many more colleagues work in other departments and at other company locations.
The team works seriously, but there is also time for a friendly chat. During breaks, you can eat or drink something together with your colleagues. You will join a team where quality, teamwork and a pleasant working atmosphere are important. The area where you will work is nice and light.
