What are you going to do?

As an assembly worker, you help build high-quality technical products. You work together with colleagues and follow clear work instructions. Your work is important, because you help make sure the final product is good, safe and reliable.  Your tasks:

  • Assembling technical parts and products
  • Working with technical drawings and work instructions
  • Checking parts and final products for quality 
  • Recognizing and reporting deviations
  • Thinking along about improvements
  • Keeping your workplace clean and safe
 

What are the working hours?

You start working in day shift. This way, you can learn the job step by step. In the future, you will work in 2 shifts. The working hours will be: 

  • 06:15 - 14:45
  • 14:00 - 22:00 
When you start working in shifts, you will receive a 20% shift allowance.  

Who are you?

You do not need years of experience. Motivation and accurate working are more important.  You: 

  • Have an interest in technology or production 
  • Are handy with electric tools
  • Work accurately and have an eye for quality 
  • Like to learn new things
  • Can work well in a team 
  • Speak English or Dutch to understand the work instructions
  • Have experience in assembly, or would like to learn 
  • Are willing to work in 2 shifts in the future

What do you get?

As an assembly worker at VDL, you receive a gross hourly wage between €16.25 and €17.-, depending on your experience. This salary is paid out weekly, on Friday.  But wait, there's more:

You will work at VDL in Swalmen. Here, technical systems are built step by step. This is not mass production where you do the same tasks all day.
