Introduction
Are you an experienced welder looking for a stable, well-paid job in a top international company? At Sif, you’ll help build massive steel structures for offshore wind farms.
What are you going to do?
As a MIG / MAG Welder, you’ll work on large-diameter steel pipes and complex offshore structures. The welding processes used vary depending on project requirements. Your work will involve:
- Reading technical drawings and following work instructions
- Preparing and setting up welding equipment
- Checking materials and measurements
- Performing welds using MIG/MAG and/or electrode (111)
- Recording your work on route cards
- Repairing welding faults to standard
- Using hand tools, grinders, and lifting tools
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- MIG/MAG 136 + electrode 111
- MIG/MAG 138 + electrode 111
- Electrode 111 only
What are the working hours?
You will work in 3 shifts (Monday–Friday):
- Morning: 06:00–14:00
- Afternoon: 14:00–22:00
- Night: 22:00–06:00
Who are you?
You have:
- 1 - 2+ years of experience with MIG/MAG or electrode welding
- Pipe welding experience
- Knowledge of at least one welding combination (136, 138, 111)
- VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain it via us)
- “Working at Heights” certificate (provided if needed)
- English B1–B2 level
- Category B driver’s license
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Precision, physical fitness, and motivation
- Willingness to complete a short game-based skills assessment
What do you get?
- €18.00 – €23.10 gross/hour
- Average net weekly pay: €676+ (after tax, rent, insurance, bonuses)
- Weekly pay (every Friday)
