Machine operator

Introduction

Full-time machine operator job available at Hessing Venlo. Join us to learn how salads, ready-to-eat vegetables, and fruit juices are prepared for supermarkets.

What are you going to do?

Performing operational activities on at least one production line, which varies per department. This includes:

• Setting the machine to the required values (traceability, numbers, bag length, speed, weight dosage, date imprint, etc.)
• Registering production data from the line
• Constructing and converting equipment/machines
• Performing simple maintenance and repair work/fixing malfunctions
• Monitoring process progress
• Performing and documenting quality controls on processes and products, including correct formation and closure of bags/trays, filling weight, gas measurements, to ensure timely and effective corrections
• Managing the team of individuals

What are the working hours?

You will work an average of 38 hours in three shifts, as the process operates continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Who are you?

• You are in good health 
• You speak English at B1 level
• Working in 3 shifts is fine for you
• Working in a cold (3 degrees) and wet environment is no problem for you
• The racks at the line are at a height of 160 cm, you must be able to reach them
• Personal hygiene is important, you follow the HACCP rules
• Experience as machine operator is a plus

What do you get?

• Salary of €15,28 per hour
  
  In addition:

• Shift allowance will be provided, ranging from 125% to 140%
• The job is full-time, with an average of 38 working hours per week
• Training will be provided for various positions, and there are opportunities for a permanent contract

Where will you work?

Hessing BV cuts and processes vegetables and fruit; a profession they have been managing for 60 years. Fresh ingredients are processed into ready-to-cook vegetables, processed fruit, and meal salads. These products are then delivered to supermarkets, fast food chains, wholesalers, catering companies and in-flight caterers. The working environment is nice, you are between fruit all day. Healthy!
