What are you going to do?
As a Grinder at Sif, you have a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Following drawings and instructions, you perform tasks with precision. You check the equipment and materials for quantity and damage. Together with your team, you work on enormous steel plates up to 27 meters long every day. Safety is key, so you use the appropriate protection and conduct a quick check before starting. Then, you set up the equipment and use electric tools and grinders according to the rules. You keep everything organized by registering and scanning your work. Finally, you ensure that your tools are in top condition, maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
What are the working hours?
Working hours are from 7:00 to 16:30.
Who are you?
- Previous experience with hand grinding for at least 6 months, or other relevant metal working experience
- You have a VCA Basic certificate in Dutch or English or are willing to obtain one
- Good level of English language (at least B1 - B2 level)
- Driving license and willingness to drive from accommodation to work
- For the Maasvlakte location, you need a scissor lift certificate.
- As a Grinder, you are essential to our production process and ensure everything looks impeccable
