Introduction

Do you have experience with grinding and an eye for the smallest details? Apply now as a Grinder at Sif. You will work on large steel parts for offshore wind farms, helping to build a greener future.

What are you going to do?

As a Grinder, you have an important role in the production process. You make sure the steel parts are perfectly finished. These steel plates can be up to 27 meters long. Safety is very important, so you always work with the right protection. Your tasks:

  • Grinding steel parts according to drawings and work instructions
  • Checking materials and equipment for damage and faults
  • Working with electric grinders and hand tools
  • Setting up and maintaining equipment properly
  • Registering and scanning your work
  • Keeping your workplace and materials clean and safe
Good to know: You get paid training, and an experienced colleague will teach you everything you need to know. You work in a big production hall with colleagues from different countries. Teamwork and safety are very important here.

What are the working hours?

You work Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:30. You get 25 vacation days per year and an extra week off at Christmas. It’s normal to go back home every 2 – 3 months for a short visit (in agreement with your manager).

Who are you?

  • You have at least 6 months of experience in grinding or metalwork
  • You have a VCA certificate or are willing to get it via us
  • Certificate “Working at Heights” will be arranged by us
  • You speak English at B1 / B2 level
  • You have a category B driving license
  • You can read technical drawings and have technical insight
  • Experience with an overhead crane is a plus
  • You are precise, motivated, and eager to learn
  • You are willing to do a test (like a small game) to show how fast you learn
  • You want a long-term job

A good salary, paid weekly on Friday:

  • Between €15.63 and €17.94 gross per hour
