Introduction

Have you always wanted to know where and how the salads, ready-to-eat vegetables, and fruit juices that you can buy in the supermarket are prepared? Apply as a reachtruck driver at Hessing Venlo.

What are you going to do?

You will be responsible for stacking pallets and operating a reachtruck, which involves physically demanding work such as lifting boxes that weigh between 5 to 20 kg. It is crucial to check, count and label products accurately and to make sure they are positioned in the correct location for pick-up by trucks.  Impression of working at Hessing:  .

What are the working hours?

You will work an average of 38 hours in three shifts, as the process operates continuously 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Who are you?

  • You have a normal level of health
  • You speak English at B1 level
  • Working in 3 shifts is fine for you
  • Working in a cold (3 degrees) and wet environment is no problem for you
  • The racks at the line are 160 cm high, so you must be able to reach them
  • Personal hygiene is important, and you follow the HACCP rules
  • You have reachtruck certificate

What do you get?

  • Salary of:

    €13,99 per hour for 18+ year

    In addition:

  • 10.5% holiday allowance
  • You will get shift allowance, varying from 125% to 140%
  • The job is fulltime, you will be working 38 hours on average

Where will you work?

Hessing BV cuts and processes vegetables and fruit; a profession they have been managing for 60 years. Fresh ingredients are processed into ready-to-cook vegetables, processed fruit, and meal salads. These products are then delivered to supermarkets, fast food chains, wholesalers, catering companies and in-flight caterers. The working environment is fine. You are around fruit all day, healthy! It is cool (3 degrees Celsius) and there is a strong smell of fruit. It can be wet and noisy.
