Introduction

Starting salary between 15.22 – 16,77 gross/ hour, depending on experience. Along the way, while working at SIF, you could end up earning up to 25,06 gross/ hour as per SIF salary scale for the Plate Roller role.   As a Plate Roller at Sif, you play a crucial role in rolling and welding 8 to 11-meter plates with thicknesses of 110 mm to form cylindrical shells. You contribute to the serial and custom production, where each workpiece has unique dimensions. Sif is one of the largest manufacturers of steel pipes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines. What are you going to do?

As a Plate Roller at Sif, you contribute to the entire production process:

• In the preparation phase, you receive instructions and drawings. You work with great precision to create perfectly round shells and cones.
• In the rolling and welding phase, you set parameters on the rolling machine according to instructions. Accuracy is a crucial aspect of this challenging role, with minimal deviations allowed.

Our massive steel monopile tubes for offshore wind parks withstand all weather conditions, thanks in part to your meticulous work. Safety comes first. Before you start, you ensure that you wear the correct protective gear and perform a safety check. Then, you set up the equipment correctly and according to prescribed procedures. You carefully monitor the quality of your work.

What are the working hours?

• You will work in a three shift system: 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 / 22:00 - 06:00. 
• 25 days vacation days per year, plus 1 week more during winter holidays.
• No rotation possible, but it is generally accepted to have a break every 2-3 months to visit your home country. 

Who are you?

• Level B1-B2 of English language.
• Practical knowledge of plate rolling machines or experience with press break machines or CNC bending.
• A metalworking background and familiarity with how metal reacts when it is under bending stress.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Possession of a valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one through HOBIJ.
• You are physically fit, analytical thinker and mechanically inclined problem solver.
• Precision and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in our 3-shift system.
• Willingness to follow a paid training period before starting work.
• Willingness to perform a game-based assessment test during recruitment process, to assess your learning ability, cognitive flexibility and problem solving abilities (online). If you enjoy playing games on your phone, you will find this test just as fun and easy.
• You have interest in a long term job and growth within the company, maybe potential relocation to the Netherlands in the future.
• You are flexible, driven, motivated and ambitious.
• Driving license B.

 

What do you get?

An excellent salary based on your experience, this means:

• Junior (1-3 years of experience): Starting at € 15,22 gross/hour.
  This translates into an average NETT income of Average 616,47 euros/ week (after adding allowances and after paying taxes, rent, insurance etc).
• Medior (3-5 years of experience): Starting at € 16,18 gross/hour.
  This translates into an average NETT income of Average 651,39 euros/ week (after adding allowances and after paying taxes, rent, insurance etc). 
• Senior (6+ years of experience): Starting at € 16,77 gross/hour.
  This translates into an average NETT income of Average 676,76 euros/ week (after adding allowances and after paying taxes, rent, insurance etc). 

Salaries are renegotiated every year and based on performance, the amount can increase significantly. In addition, you get:
