What are you going to do?

As a UP Welder at Sif, you play a crucial role in the semi-automatic welding of circumferential seams. Automation allows for consistently high-quality welding. At Sif, we work with great precision on massive steel plates of approximately 42 tons and 27 meters long.

  • Working with very high currents allows for substantial deposition. This enables significant penetration depths and high welding speeds.
  • Safety is a top priority. Before you begin, you ensure you wear the correct protective gear and conduct a check.
  • Subsequently, you set up the equipment correctly and according to prescribed procedures.
  • You carefully monitor the quality of your work.
Your passion for welding and metalworking will only grow at Sif. We will teach you the ins and outs of submerged arc welding (UP welding) with special materials. Additionally, you play a significant role in the energy transition. Our massive steel monopile tubes for offshore wind farms withstand all weather conditions, thanks in part to your meticulous work.
